CITY OF SOUTH MILWAUKEE FIRE DEPARTMENT
ADOPT A HYDRANT AND BE A "HYDRANT HERO"
Volunteer to help out your fire department when time matters the most.
Volunteering to keep a hydrant clear of snow and debris throughout the year will give first responders precious time to fight a fire or save a life instead of using that time tending to a fire hydrant.
The hydrant doesn't need to be located on your own block, support your neighborhood and help out those with other hydrants too!
Keep an area of 3 FT x 3 FT around the whole hydrant clear of snow and debris. Provide at least a 3 FT path from the street to the hydrant when it snows.
Sign up today to adopt a hydrant in your neighborhood. Please be sure to provide the address closest to the hydrant.
Or submit Hydrant Hero photos to our South Milwaukee Fire Department and we will post your great efforts on the South Milwaukee Fire Department Facebook page.
